The goal of this project is to investigate the challenges faced by Saskatchewan former youth in care (FYIC) and/or youth in care (YIC) who aspire to pursue post secondary education (PSE), assess their awareness and perceptions of existing government and institutional supports, and identify unmet social, economic, and health needs to inform policies and programs that ensure FYIC have equal opportunities to access and complete PSE as their peers.
