Hang Tran, PhD
Postdoctoral Researcher
Dr. Hang Tran obtained her PhD degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alberta. Her doctoral research focused on the experiences of newcomer children and mothers composing lives in transition to Canada. In her postdoc position at the Child Trauma Research Centre, University of Regina, Dr. Tran extended her research passion on newcomer population to curating a narrative inquiry into the experiences of refugee and immigrant children, youth, and families with culturally relevant food offerings and how that impacts their mental health. She has published academic papers in prestigious journals and also a book with Springer.
